Hello and welcome to my underground lair! (We're sorry but our princess is in another castle!)

My name is Andy Sandefer and I'm a 35 year old happily married father of 4 living in beautiful Indianapolis, IN. I'm a bit of a video game addict, I love playing, coaching and watching tennis and I'm constantly boring my wife with science fiction and action movies - she will most likely admit to secretly enjoying some of them - well maybe. I am probably the best breakdancing software developer you'll ever meet - for real! I'm also a card carrying aquarius so I'll apologize in advance for attempting to distort reality on a regular basis, but I'll never apologize for being a dreamer as I'm pretty certain that being a hopeless day dreamer has made my last 12 plus years as a developer possible. I'm the Lead Software Architect of Management Information Systems, Co. which is an Indianapolis based consulting firm that is comprised of smart, hard working people that I'm fortunate to call my friends. I'm also a Co-Founder and Co-Owner of a new company named INNER JOIN Systems, Inc.

First off, the views expressed on this site are my random thoughts, strongly held beliefs of the moment, etc. and not those of my employer. Secondly, this site is all about developers helping each other by sharing our collective knowledge and experiences with anyone who will listen. I'm a big believer in the ColdFusion Community and if we're in the mood to get along on any given day (it's happened a few times!) then we can move mountains. I know this to be true because I've personally caught a fly with chopsticks so it is a given that I can accomplish anything and I believe that ColdFusion can too! After working with everything from Pascal, VB, C++ and Java I'm totally convinced that ColdFusion is the Swiss Army Knife of modern web application development and all things middleware. If you're looking for one tool that can interact with an Exchange Server, a myriad of top tier relational database engines, publish or consume a web service, rip through XML with ease, build powerful presentations and a whole lot more then look no further because ColdFusion has got you covered!

I've been a long time commentor/contributor on a few very popular ColdFusion sites, namely Ray Camden's ColdFusion Jedi blog of awesomeness, but I've never taken the time to put together my own blog - until now! At any rate, for those of you who know a thing or two about Star Wars you have probably pieced together by now that I named this site as a tribute to Ray's site - which is where I honed my evil magic, dark force powers, ability to make cfajaxproxy help my friends and more importantly harm my enemies, etc.

I thought about boring you with my full academic and professional history and I how I ended up here and all of that crap but then I decided that no one was really all that interested and that it's not where you're from it's where you're at!
